Aletha Utimati promoted to Project Manager in the Project Services Department

Aletha Utimati has been promoted to the position of Project Manager.  Aletha started at Project Services in early 2016 as an Associate Project Manager, in those three years Aletha has shown a great capacity for growth. Her projects have become increasingly larger and more complex. She has proven that she can manage a diverse portfolio of high-stakes projects — and with that she has shouldered an immense workload. Aletha brings a calm and confident leadership approach to her projects that allows her to quickly builds trust with our clients and industry partners.

In addition to taking a strong leadership role on her projects, Aletha has also found the time to contribute greatly to our organization. This work includes spearheading the re-write of our Contractor’s First Meeting Agenda and contribution towards the new CFI start-up documents that we recently developed. She is engaged in our group discussions and brings a fresh and intelligent perspective to the work we do as a team.  She also finds time to support and share knowledge with her PM peers our PA’s and the greater UBC community, making herself available for advice, sharing her experiences and volunteering her time in our community.

She joined Project Services with a combined degree in Architecture and Civil Engineering from Brazil and a Masters in Civil Engineering from UBC. She also brings a strong background in construction project management from her work on major construction projects in Brazil.
