Often when onsite, operations staff can require bulky, specialized tools like ladders. This makes it almost impossible to walk between nearby job sites. Let’s create a common location to store a set of ladders in each of our buildings along with a technology to lock/sign out the ladders from these distributed sites. Currently, UBC ladders are distributed across campus by individuals and locked with personal locks. We could collect these ladders and redistribute them in an organized way to provide a cost-effective solution for less driving and more time on the job site helping campus users.
