Announcing Nikii Hoglund as Director, Asset Replacement and Improvements in Building Operations

Building Operations is pleased to announce Nikii Hoglund as the successful applicant for Director, Asset Replacement and Improvements position effective July 8, 2019.

Nikki has a blend of both public and private sector experience and has over 20 years of extensive asset management, operational management and administrative experience. She is an excellent communicator who leads by example and is able to fit seamlessly into existing hierarchies, balance conflicting requirements with an outcome of positive direction, and has built high-functioning teams from diverse people.

Nikii comes to UBC Building Operations from the City of Colwood, where she was the Director of Engineering and Public Works. She has also held roles at the District of Sechelt, District of North Vancouver, Village of Lions Bay and has consulted in project and quality management in Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.

Nikii has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business. She is also in the process of completing a professional certificate in Asset Management Planning from the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia/NAMS Canada.
