Aziz Kara has joined the Comptroller team as a Portfolio Finance Director, DAE, External Relations and Governance effective November 22nd. Aziz is a Certified Professional Accountant who brings 25 years of progressive experience in Healthcare. He has held a number of roles at LifeLabs including Director of Billing and Accounts Receivable, and Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, in which he led successful transformative changes in Financial Planning and Accounts Receivable. He also made significant contributions in his past roles to continuous improvement, including:
- Streamlining processes and policies, consolidating systems, and restructuring billing into portfolio-based teams to create one billing platform from four separate companies;
- Implementing balanced scorecard reporting to link strategy to financial and non-financial results for senior leaders; and
- Standardizing monthly reporting which successfully reduced the monthly reporting close by a few days.
In his spare time, Aziz volunteers his time with Aga Khan NPOs and participates in the Aga Khan Partnership walk.
