Facilities – Building Operations, Energy & Water Services, and Infrastructure Development

  • Facilities COVID-19 Building Safety Plans approved: COVID-19 Building Safety Plans for Building Operations, Infrastructure Development, and Energy & Water Services have been approved. All three plans are available on the Facilities webpage.
  • Project Services’ Project Coordinators on-site support schedule this week: Please continue to contact the designated Project Manager/Coordinator for project inquiries.

Finance – Comptroller, Finance & Operational Excellence, and Treasury

  • UBC Budget: The university budget was approved by the Board of Governors today (Monday).
  • Audited Financial Statements: UBC’s 2019/2020 audited consolidated financial statements are now available on the UBC Finance website.
  • Preparing for IRP and AEP: The Finance and Operational Excellence group (Financial Operations, Operational Excellence, and the Integrated Service Centre) has established an internal working group focused on preparing the team for go-live of the Integrated Renewal Program (IRP) and Application Ecosystem Program (AEP) in November.
  • Responsible Investment: On behalf of the university, UBC Investment Management Trust (IMANT) has signed the internationally-developed Principles for Responsible Investment, continuing UBC’s commitment to mitigating climate change. A full story is now available on the Finance website.

Operations & Advising – Communications & Engagement and Human Resources

  • VPFO Communications & Engagement have created a new website to help you with your communications. Everyone in the VPFO has a part in telling the story of how finance, facilities, and safety enable UBC’s teaching, learning and research. On the new Communications & Engagement website you will find information, resources, and tools to do your part to strengthen your communications and achieve our business goals.

IRP TRAINING NOW AVAILABLE

Training for the IRP is now available. You can send your questions to the VPFO Workday Readiness Q&A email address: vpfo.workdayreadiness@ubc.ca where we will both answer questions and help the IRP update their knowledge base and other support resources. Please note the corrected support email address.

MANAGING@UBC IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2020/2021

Managing@UBC is a leadership development program designed to equip newer managers with the foundational skills, knowledge and tools to succeed and grow in leadership roles at UBC. Applications are now open for the 2020/2021 cohort.
