Facilities – Building Operations, Energy & Water Services, and Infrastructure Development
- Infrastructure Development/Properties Trust project list: The September 2020 project list is now available on the Facilities website.
- Construction Office priority list: September 2020 project list and status is available on the Building Operations website.
- Working outside your building of primary occupancy: A safe work procedure to outline the measures that will be followed by workers who are required to enter different UBC buildings to carry out their tasks is now available on the Safety & Risk Services website.
- Project Services’ Project Coordinators on-site support schedule this week: Please continue to contact the designated Project Manager/Coordinator for project inquiries.

Finance – Comptroller, Finance & Operational Excellence, and Treasury
- IRP Readiness in Finance & Operational Excellence: Content is being developed to support the finance community as we map out end-to-end business processes in preparation for Workday go-live. Pages hosting this content will be made available through Preparing for Workday section of the Finance website, and will be distributed to the finance community via email in a consolidated message on a weekly basis. Extra support for our payroll community is also being prepared.
- Procurement Modernization: The Procurement Modernization project is in its final stages, with nearly every unit having completed the transition to the new service delivery model. This service delivery model is a critical step in preparing UBC for Workday.
IRP/AEP/ISC – Integrated Renewal Program, Application Ecosystem Program, Integrated Service Centre
- Reminder — Sept 17 Community Call-in: Sponsors and leadership will host a live discussion on how to prepare for Workday, and where to access support after Workday goes live. Register to attend at 11:00 AM on Sept 17.
- Training summary: The IRP team has released a one-page summary to help the community understand the self-serve training that is available as we all prepare for Workday. The one-pager is part of a communications toolkit they have posted to their website called Training: Get Ready for Workday, that captures all of the materials they have produced related to training thus far.
- Supports provided by the ISC: The Integrated Service Centre (ISC) will provide UBC with a suite of support services relating to Finance, HR, and — of course — Workday. Learn more about how the ISC will support you in your role at the university on the IRP website.
