Infrastructure Development welcomes Asset Replacement & Improvements

Infrastructure Development is pleased to welcome the Asset Replacement & Improvements (ARI) — Transition Team and Construction Office to Infrastructure Development. This alignment will better integrate our teams to provide robust and timely project delivery, documentation and asset inputs that are critical to decision-making for Facilities, and provide improved customer service and greater clarity for the campus community.

Giving Thanks

In Canada, we celebrate Thanksgiving on the second Monday in October. While Thanksgiving is also known as Columbus Day, established to recognize the Christopher Columbus’ voyage and landing in the “new world”, Indigenous People had a call to action in the 1980’s to acknowledge the losses suffered by Native Americans as a result of the historical conquest of North America by Europeans. First Aid is Provided by UBC Campus Security

UBC Campus Security provides First Aid for students, faculty, staff, student-staff, and visitors on the UBC Vancouver Point Grey campus. Our patrol officers are Occupational First Aid Level 2 (OFA2) certified and will respond and provide initial care and implement any critical interventions up to the scope of their training until paramedics arrive on scene.

New Project Coordinator and Project Supervisors begin their roles in Asset Replacement & Improvements

Asset Replacement & Improvements (ARI) is in the process of implementing a new approach to the Construction Office, which will allow for greater project delivery efficiency, and help our teams be more successful in service delivery to the community. A key component of the new organizational structure is now completed.

Lance Adams joining Operational Excellence as Business Analyst, SRS

Lance previously worked as a Business Analyst at UBC as part of the EMMS/Plannon and Workday implementations. His role will be dedicated to information systems transformation, and operational excellence projects within the SRS portfolio.

Global Disbursement Service: Updated Form Available

The Global Disbursement Service (GDS) is UBC’s method for making international payments (outside of North America). Departments paying foreign suppliers will need to ask their suppliers to complete the Global Disbursement form. The form has been recently revised, you can find it on the UBC Finance website.
