It helps you to map from your overall goal to specific tactics that are all strategically and thematically aligned to push towards a measurable change in opinion and behaviour.
  • Communications Plan Briefing Template [Word]
    This brief is a one-page summary document of your communications plan intended for sharing with your managers or campus peers who may have a high-level interest in the goals, approach, or key messages of the project.

Executive Communications Tools

    A briefing note is a short paper that quickly and effectively informs a decision-maker about an issue. A useful briefing note distills often complex information into a short, well-structured document.

Staff and Faculty Communications Tools

  • Information Toolkit Template [Word]
    This template is a quick way to create a framing document for managers. It helps take key parts of your communications plan and present it in small usable pieces to brief managers and supervisors so that they can brief their staff with ease.
  • Report Template [Word]
    This Word template allows you to easily create an on-brand report. The template includes cover page options, table styles and images. To create your own custom report, simply add in your copy, swap out photos, and delete the assets you don’t need.
  • VPFO Email Signature Guide [Word]
    This guide provides instructions for how to create email signatures that follow the UBC Brand Guidelines and align with VPFO recommendations. It includes a series of examples that you can use to inform how you build your email signature.
