KPI 2.1: WES Survey Gap Analysis

Relates to priority: Deliver on Systems Renewal

Employees in the VPFO need to have the right tools to do their jobs, including hand tools, vehicles, computers, etc. 2017 UBC Workplace Experience (WES) survey included questions on tools. Using the survey results as a benchmark, VPFO intends to improve those departments with low survey scores on tools.

Outcome

To provide the tools necessary for employees to do their job effectively.

Targets

To improve the WES survey score on tools by performing gap analysis on materials, tools and software needed for employees to do work, and develop action plans and budget to minimize the gap.

Phase 1: By Q3 FY21 (Dec 2020) VPFO units that have low WES scores to 100% completion of gap analysis on, materials, tools, software needed to do work.
Phase 2: By Q4 FY21 (Apr 2021) develop action plans to determine how to fill the gap and budget accordingly.

Currently this KPI is on hold pending WES results in Nov 2021.

Our Strategic Priorities

Our priorities provide a framework containing the objectives of our Strategic Plan, and they help contextualize the overarching aims of the VPFO. Progress towards achieving our strategic priorities is tracked by selected Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Deliver on Systems Renewal

To operate effectively, it’s essential to have the right tools in place. Delivering on our System Renewal Program will ensure we’re providing you with the systems you need to succeed. Once the right tools are in place, it’s equally important to properly embed them, so they continue to provide value into the future.
