A message from Frank: Touring the new Gateway Health Building
Last week, I had the opportunity to tour the new Gateway Health Building and felt extremely proud of what our teams have helped bring to life.
This remarkable project has been years in the making, and many of you across the VPFO have played a key role in its planning, designing, and development. In a few months, this building will transition to our operations teams, who will take on the vital responsibility of maintaining and supporting this facility every day. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project so far, and to those who will be part of its ongoing success in the years to come.

At six stories and 270,000 square feet, the Gateway Building embraces mass timber and will co-locate all Student Health and Mental Health Services, UBC Health, the UBC School of Nursing (Vancouver) and the UBC School of Kinesiology together in a cutting edge facility that will enhance students’ health and wellbeing and facilitate interdisciplinary teaching and health research. It’s a complex and inspiring space, and I know we will rise to the challenge of supporting it with excellence.Thank you again for your outstanding work, dedication, and commitment. Projects like this are only possible because of the incredible work you do every day.
