Welcome to the VP Finance & Operations portfolio
The nine divisions of the VPFO are responsible for the stewardship of UBC’s physical and financial assets, as well as safety and risk management for our university community.
We oversee a $3.98 billion budget, a $3.38 billion endowment, and all facilities on both campuses, as well as managing the university’s relationships with UBC Investment Management and UBC Properties Trust. In all the portfolio’s responsibilities, we are committed to the values of innovation, unity and accountability.

2019/2020 Year End Schedule Now Available
The university’s fiscal year end of March 31, 2020, is fast approaching, and similar to prior years UBC’s financial teams have collaborated on a schedule to support the university community in closing out the fiscal year for accounting purposes.

T4/T4A statements are now available online
UBC issues tax slips online as PDFs that are identical to the printed form, and are accepted by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) when filing your taxes.

This year, Pink Shirt Day is February 26 and the VPFO will be celebrating diversity and inclusion in our portfolio with cake and coffee events for our entire team.
