Stephen Li is the successful candidate for the Mechanical Engineer position. with Facilities, Building Operations. Stephen is a Professional Mechanical Engineer and LEED Green Associate with over ten years’ experience in Metro Vancouver’s building consulting industry. Stephen has earned two mechanical engineering technology diplomas from BCIT in computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and machine design as well as a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Stephen’s knowledge of the British Columbia Building Code, Vancouver Building By-law, ASHRAE standards, CSA codes, NFPA codes & standards has helped him design numerous plumbing, HVAC and fire protection systems on a wide range of new construction and renovation projects. In addition to his knowledge & design experience, he is also skilled with REVIT and has 20+ years of experience with AutoCAD. Stephen is always looking to improve and is currently enrolled at Langara working towards his Project Management Professional designation.
Stephen will begin his new role focusing on operational issues stemming from underlying base building system deficiencies and resolving issues with fume hoods that fail certification.
