Core and customer-funded dispensers for buildings and spaces
The number of core soap, paper towel, and hand sanitizer dispensers for each building and space follow UBC technical guidelines. For any additional dispensers, these dispensers are not consider ‘Core’ dispensers and the faculty/department is responsible for funding the additional dispenser and ongoing refills.
How do we overcome our fear of talking about racism?
Communicating about important topics, such as racism or privilege, requires practice, courage, and skill. Regardless of our intersectional identities, these conversations can be difficult, but they are necessary to create a more open and inclusive work environment at UBC.
A new Water Pump Station for the Point Grey campus
The final building handover is underway for the new Water Pump Station, located on University Boulevard and Education Road, next to the Henry Angus building.

Joey-Lee Rebelo joins Building Operations as Manager, Business & Support Services
Joey-Lee Rebelo is the successful applicant for the Manager, Business and Support Services position, reporting to Customer Services & Informatics in Building Operations. This is a new position responsible for leading the Clerical and Service Centre teams, as well as supporting training and other important initiatives throughout Facilities.
