Effective January 15, 2024, the VP Finance & Operations (VPFO) will be welcoming UBC’s Enterprise Risk & Assurance (ERA) team to the portfolio. This strategic transition is part of our ongoing efforts to optimize the university’s organizational structure, enhance operational synergies, and ultimately improve risk-informed decision-making and reporting.
The integrity of the Internal Assurance function remains in place
ERA will continue to take functional direction from the Board of Governor’s Audit Committee to address risk and assurance-related matters. The team will continue to serve as a strategic partner to management and support the UBC Executive and Board of Governors in fulfilling their risk oversight responsibilities.
