On February 3, 2020, Shannon Boychuk joined the Insurance team in the position of Manager, Insurance & Loss Prevention. Shannon has previously worked for universities across Canada and in the USA, including as Associate Academic Governance Officer on UBC’s Okanagan campus.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Safety & Risk Services, Shannon will be responsible for the management of the university’s comprehensive insurance portfolio and will act as the leader and key expert with respect to insurance policies. Shannon graduated from UBC with a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Laws.
