Director, Human Resources
Leading the HR team, Parveen provides operational strategic planning and ensures our people practices align with UBC and the VPFO’s strategic goals.
Parveen has over 25 years of experience in leading HR strategy and initiatives, and building high performance cultures in the public sector. She has previously held positions as Director, Divisional Operations with Worksafe BC, where she led human resources and labour relations strategy and change management initiatives, and as Director, Human Resources with Capilano University.
Known for her open and collaborative approach, Parveen is committed creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for people to thrive to their full potential — not just within the VPFO but also in the wider community. She currently serves on the Boards of two non-profit organizations, the British Columbia Borstal Association and PLEA Community Services Society of BC.
Parveen is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and has a certification in PROSCI Change Management.
