Dale Low joins UBC as Municipal Manager of Soft Landscape in Building Operations

Dale joins UBC from the City of Vancouver where he led a team of program coordinators and support staff responsible for business uses of streets and sidewalks.

At the City of Vancouver, Dale’s portfolio managed nearly 3000 permits for different street uses including sidewalk patios, food trucks, street entertainment, storefront displays and advertising in the public realm. These programs helped to create a vibrant public realm while balancing the needs of the public, strategic plans, and key stakeholders. Dale also supported the launch of public bike share and management of clothing donation bins.

Dale has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Sciences from UBC, is a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and completed training as an Emergency Medical Responder and Firefighter. Dale is committed to delivering excellent customer service, supporting safety initiatives and supporting and developing high-performance teams. With his technical background and experience in a politically and socially sensitive environment, Dale is a great addition to the Municipal Team.
