On January 6, 2020, Doug Cheung joined UBC’s Treasury team in the position of Director, Treasury. Doug comes to UBC from Teekay Shipping where he was a manager of financial planning and analysis. Reporting to the Treasurer, Doug will be overseeing cash management together with the strategic long-term modelling and will also be involved in strategic initiatives such as the GBE (Government Business Entity) project with Student Housing and Hospitality Services. Doug graduated from UBC with a Bachelors of Commerce and holds a CPA, CA designation. Outside of work, he loves travelling and is a big NBA fan.
