This year, Pink Shirt Day is February 26 and the VPFO will be celebrating diversity and inclusion in our portfolio with cake and coffee events for our entire team.
The main event will take place between 9:00 am and 10:00 am, with several smaller celebrations taking place across the VPFO to allow those who cannot attend due to operational requirements or who work outside core office hours to show their support as well. Please speak with your supervisor about local celebrations.
Pink Shirt Day is an annual event that raises awareness about the negative impacts caused by bullying, and the importance of fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment at work, school, and home. Through the simple act of wearing a pink shirt, people around the world unite, show their solidarity, and celebrate diversity, inclusion and tolerance.
All events take place on February 26:
- Day Shift + VPFO: 9:00 am – 10:00 am @ USB Atrium
- Evening Shift: 8:45 pm – 9:45 pm @USB Atrium
- Night Shift: 11:15 pm – 11:45 pm @ Life Building Room 2201
