Other notable updates

What is intersectionality and why does it matter?

At UBC we believe excellence cannot be achieved without inclusion. But how we are included is shaped by how we present ourselves, the ways we are seen by others, the systems and norms of our campus, and how they all intersect.

Read more about how intersectionality affects all of us, both as individuals and as a community, on the VPFO EDI website.

Equity Enhancement Fund – deadline extended to June 19, 2022

As part of UBC’s commitment to advancing equity and inclusion across its campuses, faculty and staff are invited to submit a proposal to the Equity Enhancement Fund for projects that are responsive to community needs and advance one or more of the actions outlined in UBC’s Inclusion Action Plan. Applicants can request up to $5,000 per project in Vancouver and up to $1,500 in the Okanagan.
