- A Walk Through Time – Tree of Life project: As part of a public art installation, construction work for the exhibit extension of the Beaty Biodiversity Museum will begin next week. Learn more about the project and what to expect during construction.
- Third Space – Solar Decathlon project: Facilities is working with UBC’s award-winning Third Quadrant Design—a team of 60+ students in engineering, architecture, business, and arts to help plan and manage a new student space on campus that redefines sustainable design. Learn about the project and what to expect during construction.
- Upcoming road closures on UBC Vancouver campus: There are a number of road closures on the UBC Vancouver campus in the coming weeks. Review the details on the Facilities website to plan your routes accordingly.

Comptroller, Finance & Operational Excellence and Treasury
- UBC’s Financial Results for 2021/22: The university’s Audited Financial Statements for 2021/22 are now available on the UBC Finance website.
- New Treasury office piloting design and technology to support hybrid work: After years of hard work and planning by the Treasury team and UBC Facilities’ Infrastructure Development team, Treasury’s existing office space in the Old Administration Building has been renovated to become the home base for the entire Treasury team, starting July 20. - Claiming unidentified wire transfers and direct deposit: Please check through the list of unidentified wire transfers and direct deposits (updated as of July 21) to see if any payments belong to your department.

- Resources to stay cool and safe: A heat warning has been issued this week for Metro Vancouver. Safety & Risk Services has some resources to help you stay cool and safe, including where you can find on-campus cooling centres and temporary water features. Learn more
- Understanding your audience: When you’re planning your communications, it’s important to think about what kinds of groups you might need to share information with. Learn how to identify and understand your audience on the VPFO Communications website.
- New HR Operational Reports Dashboard for HR Administrator and Managers: Easily find and access commonly-used operational reports in Workday. As part of the development of this dashboard, data access for Managers and HR Analysts was updated to ensure that everyone with access to the dashboard can run all the reports included with equivalent results. Delivering solutions to integrate with Workday Student
IRP Student’s mission is to renew UBC’s student information system (SIS). Most applications that currently exist in the SIS will be replaced by or integrated with Workday Student.
However, some newly created applications (aka point solutions) will integrate with Workday Student to complement and enhance its functionality.
