Helen Yung joins UBC today as the university’s new Comptroller.
Reporting to the Vice-President, Finance & Operations, the Comptroller ensures UBC’s financial sustainability by delivering intelligence, planning, and reporting to facilitate decision-making. Helen joins us from Vancouver Coastal Health, where she has served as a valued senior finance leader for over 20 years, most recently as Executive Director, Controller and Financial Services. Her experience includes leading all aspects of financial management for VCH, including overseeing the controllership function as well as the annual operating budget of over $5 billion.
