Our 6th Annual Pink Shirt Day Celebration 
Join the VPFO portfolio virtually or on campus at the Life Sciences West Atrium at 2:00 pm in celebrating diversity, kindness and empathy. There will also be an evening event for evening shift workers at Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability (CIRS) 1250 at 7:00 pm.

Calling on EDI Facilitators
Last year the VPFO EDI committee produced a series of six self-paced courses available on UBC Workplace Learning (WPL). Now, the VPFO Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) committee is looking for volunteer facilitators to help us drive EDI conversations at the VPFO.

Equity, diversity and inclusion in climate action in Canada
Climate change and its effects are not experienced uniformly. Black, Indigenous and people of colour (BIPOC), particularly those from lower economic countries, are disproportionately impacted by changing climatic conditions. Ironically, these communities are the least likely to be invited to participate in discussions.
