We are pleased to welcome Jacqui Sloan to the VPFO as Executive Assistant and Project Coordinator with VPFO Human Resources and Treasury, effective July 20, 2023.
Jacqui comes to UBC from Early Childhood Educators of BC, where she supported the executive director and project manager in providing professional development opportunities, training, and resources for early childhood educators across the province. Jacqui immigrated to Canada in 2019 from Ireland where she graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science in Criminology from University College Cork.
During the winter she enjoys exploring new recipes and trying new workout classes, and most weekends you can find her skiing in Whistler. In the summer she can be found swimming in the ocean and lakes, relaxing with a good book, and camping. Travel is a passion for Jacqui, and she loves the opportunity to learn about different cultures and most importantly their traditional cuisine!
